Salary Range: $41,600 to $71,980 per annum based on education and experience

Under the direction of the KOBE SS Manager, the Well-Being Worker would assist the Mental Health Team in identifying any service gaps and assist the KOBE Mental Health Team in the development of programming and supports that would address these needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Support mental health and wellness programming for KOBE Student Services (SS) students
  • Collaborate with regional health organizations and KO to develop holistic mental wellness approaches, blending modern and traditional practices
  • Help identify KO First Nation mental health priorities and assist with community-based services
  • Assist in planning and delivering wellness activities for youth ages 13–20
  • Provide transportation and care for students attending services or programming
  • Offer daily support alongside the KOBE SS Mental Health Team and Student Support Workers
  • Participate in cultural and wellness-based programming (e.g., camping trips, rabbit snaring, workshops)
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the KOBE SS Manager or Mental Health Team

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualifications in the field of Education, Social Work and/or Mental Health
  • Experience working within First Nations’ Mental Health and Counselling programs
  • Good writing and documenting skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to facilitate workshops both in person and online
