The Skills Development Fund Project Supervisor must possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successful project management. This role involves student recruitment and support, participant enrolment, stakeholder collaboration, programming, and participant supervision.
Contract Term: 1 year, ending March 30, 2026
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise project teams to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders
- Monitor project progress and performance, and implement corrective actions when necessary
- Coordinate resources and allocate tasks to team members based on their strengths and expertise
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and manage expectations
- Conduct regular project meetings to review progress, identify challenges, and brainstorm solutions
- Ensure adherence to project management best practices and organizational policies
- Prepare and present project reports to senior management and other relevant project partners
- Maintain files and correspondence and records related to project management
- Supervise and oversee participants as required both on and off site
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, employers, training providers, and government representatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Education, Business)
- Proven experience in project supervision, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role
- Strong leadership and team management skills (PMP certification or equivalent considered a plus)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in project management tools and software
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions
- Previous experience working with First Nations Communities considered a plus
