The Skills Development Fund Project Supervisor must possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successful project management. This role involves student recruitment and support, participant enrolment, stakeholder collaboration, programming, and participant supervision. 

Contract Term: 1 year, ending March 30, 2026

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise project teams to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Monitor project progress and performance, and implement corrective actions when necessary
  • Coordinate resources and allocate tasks to team members based on their strengths and expertise
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and manage expectations
  • Conduct regular project meetings to review progress, identify challenges, and brainstorm solutions
  • Ensure adherence to project management best practices and organizational policies
  • Prepare and present project reports to senior management and other relevant project partners
  • Maintain files and correspondence and records related to project management
  • Supervise and oversee participants as required both on and off site
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, employers, training providers, and government representatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Education, Business)
  • Proven experience in project supervision, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills (PMP certification or equivalent considered a plus)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions
  • Previous experience working with First Nations Communities considered a plus
