KOBE offers adult KO Community members, living both in and out of Community, opportunities to complete high school, develop skills to enhance their qualifications, and/or work toward establishing a trade certification.

High School Completion
Instructor taught virtual classes are available to help adults earn their high school diploma.
Lessons are delivered online with an instructor on camera in the evenings and/or on weekends.
1. Register with KiHS for Adult Learning
2. Submit your last high school transcript or provide information to our team to request it
3. Complete a Prior Learning and Recognition (PLAR) assessment
4. Attend an orientation session showing you how to access everything
5. Attend scheduled classes and complete the work as assigned
Skills Development
Skills development programming under Adult Education helps build capacity for our KO Communities by delivering programming both in and out of community.
Examples of programming are Carpentry, Water Treatment, First Aid, Fire Safety, Food Safety, and more.
Trades
High school completion, short programming, and Micro-Credentials are all designed to open pathways into Trades. Trades are registered and controlled industries and involve both in class level certifications and apprenticeship hours over a period of 3-4 years. KOBE Adult Education can provide opportunities to build skills and earn credits toward future trade certification pathways.
