The Technology department provides classroom support in creating and implementing various technology-based lessons that engage and students and enhance learning. Staff utilize various models as guidelines. For example, the TPACK Model combines effective teaching strategies with solid pedagogy and technology to make for the ideal learning environment. Each KO community school has one Chromebook for each student in Grades 3 through 8 as well as a minimum of one iPad for every five students in Kindergarten to Grade 3. Through the support of the Technology department, school staff are able to participate in professional development workshops on Chromebooks, iPads, and SMART Boards.
