Darrin Potter
Director of Education

Booshoo Everyone. I am an East Coast Native but I have made my home in Ontario's North for the past 20 plus years. My career started as a high school science teacher in my home province of Newfoundland. I then moved to Keewaywin to teach Grade 5 to 8 for a few years before returning to the East Coast to work in Eskasoni for 3 years. The call to Keewaywin was too great so I returned there as the KiHS science teacher for a year before taking the role of principal, which I did for 14 years before starting this amazing journey with KOBE as Director in 2014. My wife Donna, works at KO as well with nursing services; my oldest son Lucas, is starting college this fall; as well as my daughter Bethany starting Memorial University; my daughter Rebecca is entering Grade 11; and my youngest Matthew is entering high school.

I did my B.Sc. and B.Ed. at Memorial University in NL, my M.Ed. at St. Francis Xavier in Nova Scotia, My PQP at Lakehead University and my SOQP in Toronto with the Ontario Principals' Council.
