Education Partnership Program Liaison

The Education Partnership Program (EPP) Liaison undertakes assigned activities in support of the EPP joint Implementation Plan that are designed to improve the scope and quality of education programs and services available to NAN First Nation students attending provincially funded schools, and the KO First Nations respective partners. This position is critical to the successful completion of EPP educational initiatives and for maintaining effective liaison with First Nations and assigned Provincial District School Boards (DSBs) and their respective schools.

The EPP Liaison is an integral member of the KOBE Student Success team. This position is expected to effectively represent the EPP Partnership that includes Nishnawbe Aski Nation, the Ontario Ministry of Education and Indigenous Service Canada at the DSB, school and First Nation levels. Much of the work to be undertaken by this position requires development of effective local partnership initiatives at the school levels and as such, this position is well suited to a candidate who has very effective interpersonal skills and who can function effectively as part of a team.

KOBE Report Management, Intake and Data Coordinator

The KOBE Report Management, Intake and Data Coordinator will lead the Student Services Intake processes, implement and support a KOBE Wide Student Database system and coordinate the Nominal Roll process for KOBE departments.  The Coordinator will support the KOBE staff to ensure program reporting requirements are met.  The Report Management, Intake and Data Coordinator will work with Student Services to take student intakes and ensure that all student information required is in the student files and in the electronic records.  The Report Management, Intake and Data Coordinator will be accountable to the Enrolment and Student Retention Supervisor.

KiHS Secondary School Classroom Teacher (s)

Keewaytinook Board of Education is seeking secondary classroom teacher(s) to work as teacher/mentor in several partner communities such as Bearskin Lake First Nation, Deer Lake First Nation, and Fort William First Nation starting in August 2024. Keewaytinook Internet High School (KiHS) is a multi-site blended learning high school which allows students to remain in their home community while taking a rich variety of ministry inspected courses toward their Ontario Secondary School Diploma. KiHS has been in operation for over 20 years and has classrooms in 16 First Nations communities.
