KOBE Has an Immediate Job Opening for "Assessment Lead"
Responsibilities include: • Work closely under the supervision of the KOBE Manager to ensure the completion of the EQAO Grade 3,6, and 9 assessment in cooperation with the KO First Nations Schools; • Support capacity building with the First Nations School principals to analyze and interpret the EQAO results and deliver professional development amongst the school staff to address results; • Travel to the KO First Nations schools to deliver professional development as outlined in the KO Board Improvement Plan and specific strategies as identified by principals; • Work with expert consultants to develop and deliver effective screening processing within the communities; • Work closely with the Speech Language Team to organize and provide services to each of the 5 KO community schools; • Research and identify trends within the area of assessment as it pertains to the KO schools; • Provide assistance to schools where needed in the area of assessment tools and initiatives; • Develop and empower teacher teams in collaborating for outcomes by reflecting on practice, analyzing data, and looking at student work toward the goal of improving student outcomes specific to assessments; and • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s of Education in related field • Special education background • Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Effective written and verbal communication • Current valid Criminal Record Check Comprehensive Benefit Package Competitive salary to commensurate with experience We thank all applicants, but only successful candidates will be contacted for an interview Deadline until filled
